Enliven's Standardized Immersion Format combines VR perspective-taking, expert facilitation, and behavioral activation in a single three-hour session. Delivered by a growing network of certified facilitators, or by training your own.
E-learning builds awareness. Facilitation creates engagement. Coaching reaches individuals. Each addresses one dimension of behavior change while structurally excluding the others.
Digital platforms are structurally unable to produce the emotional engagement or social accountability that behavioral science identifies as preconditions for action.
Participants leave energized. Within two weeks behavioral insights have faded. Discussion and role-play operate at the cognitive level. Understanding is not the same as feeling.
The distance between knowing what good behavior looks like and actually performing it under real conditions. That gap is closed by experience, not information.
Three hours. Up to 16 participants. Four sequential phases building on each other. The sequence is fixed. Removing or reordering any phase weakens the mechanism.
Establishes the cognitive frame. The facilitator models vulnerability and lowers defensiveness before challenge.
30 minTwo groups of eight. One enters VR while the other completes a structured exercise. After 30 minutes they swap. 8 headsets serve 16.
60 minThe shared VR experience becomes a common reference point. Dialogue begins in pairs, then opens to the full group.
40 min"When X occurs, I will do Y" implementation intentions. Oriented toward bystander action: supporting others.
Remaining time
The reactions are real. The conversations that follow are where behavior change begins.
The full whitepaper: design, evidence base, and implementation pathway. Written for HR leaders, L&D practitioners, and organizational development professionals.
Download WhitepaperThe SIF architecture is designed so that any certified facilitator can deliver it independently, anywhere. VR content, session sequence, and measurement instruments stay consistent regardless of who facilitates.
Organizations can train their own facilitators through Enliven's certification program. The result: declining per-session cost, zero dependency on external calendars, and growing internal capability.

A 120-minute demo session. Your team. Our facilitator. Enliven's VR.
Psychological Safety Under Pressure for 50 to 300 executive leaders. A combined VR and facilitated experience that creates the conditions for honest dialogue, genuine accountability, and collective commitment.
Every organization talks about feedback and openness. A real speak-up culture requires psychological safety. And psychological safety cannot be explained. It has to be felt.
Leaders arrive ready to discuss strategy, alignment, and performance. The conversations stay surface-level because no one has experienced what it costs to speak up when it matters.
Leaders who have felt what psychological safety costs engage with the rest of the program differently. The VR creates the opening. The facilitation converts it into insight, behavioral commitment, and leadership practice.
A reference experience shared with every peer that shapes the quality of every conversation for the rest of the event and beyond.
Groups rotate through VR, structured debrief, and a leadership practice exercise. Every participant completes all three. The plenary sessions bookend the rotations with shared framing and collective activation.
All leaders together. CEO activates. Shared framing and Psychological Safety Index results presented.
Enliven's VR places each participant in a situation where speaking up carries real interpersonal risk. Groups of 50 on 50 headsets.
Groups of 50 split into 4 tables of 12 to 13. Expert facilitators move from personal reaction to pattern recognition to behavioral intention.
All leaders reconvene. Shared reference point becomes collective commitment. Leadership message integrates directly.
When people feel safe to admit what went wrong, genuine accountability replaces defensive hedging. Leaders model it first.
People over-qualify to protect their position. Psychological safety makes directness possible. Communication becomes clear because speaking plainly carries no risk.
Decisions stall when people withhold information. When escalating problems early is safe, teams decide faster and course-correct before small issues compound.
Feedback stays managed and surface-level without safety. When leaders can give and receive honest input, development becomes real and support becomes genuine.
A global consumer goods company ran Enliven's Psychological Safety Under Pressure format with 50 senior leaders across supply chain and corporate HR leadership.
Within the session, 50% of participants named a specific team they wanted to roll the program out to. The internal champion presented the data to senior leadership. The next phase was confirmed within 60 days.
The leadership event created demand that the organization chose to scale. Leaders who have felt the experience become the strongest advocates for organization-wide rollout.
Anonymized. FTSE 100 consumer goods company, 2026.
Option A costs 60 additional minutes and delivers a fundamentally different outcome. Group 3 receives framing before VR. The CEO's message integrates into the activation. The session shifts from "leaders feel the experience" to "leaders commit to specific change."
Program lead, facilitation lead, intro facilitator, Learning Zone facilitators, and one VR dialogue facilitator per group of 50.
50 participant headsets plus facilitator demonstration headsets. Full tech team. Standardized instruction protocol. Hygiene protocol between rotations.
Pre-event digital survey based on Amy Edmondson's 7-question framework. Results presented in plenary intro as organizational mirror.
Five structured 1-to-1 interviews with diverse participants before the event. Session content grounded in your organization's actual patterns.

The same large-scale rotation model, applied to team inclusion and connection. Ideal as a follow-up to Psychological Safety Under Pressure or as a standalone leadership event.
The connective tissue. How small daily interactions build or erode team trust. Teams experience what inclusion and exclusion feel like, and leave with concrete actions to strengthen connection.

Enliven Social Enterprise B.V. | Arnhem, Netherlands
Enliven was founded in 2014 in Arnhem, the Netherlands, with a single conviction: empathy is not a trait people either have or lack. It is a skill that can be developed through experience. What began as a mission to address social challenges through immersive technology has grown into a platform trusted by enterprise organizations worldwide.
Our founding team brought together expertise in XR development, behavioral science, and facilitation design. The first VR experience, Vergeet Mij Niet, won the JenV Innovation Award from the Dutch Ministry of Justice and Security and was adopted by more than 60 organizations across the Netherlands, proving that immersive experiences could shift behavior at scale.
From that social sector foundation, Enliven entered the corporate market in late 2024. Within 18 months, the methodology was validated at ASML, McKinsey, Reckitt, Microsoft, Cambridge University Press, and Shimano. Today, Enliven operates as a social enterprise, reinvesting in impact while delivering measurable behavior change for the world's most demanding organizations.
